If you're already signed up to a hotmail email address you should retain that whether you've got MSN Messenger or not.

No it doesnt make a difference. You just need the hotmail address to have the messenger.

it doesnt make a difference cos i know ppl who have signed up for hotmail accounts but never use msn messenger...its all about .net passports
